What is your forecast for the SaaS industry?

My forecast is that we will see a “great filtering” rather than a total collapse, where the industry moves away from the era of superficial tools toward a future defined by deep integration. Companies like CrowdStrike, Shopify, and FactSet will likely find that as they embed AI more deeply into their core offerings, they will become more resilient, even if their market valuations fluctuate in the short term. We will see a clear divide: firms that rely on “AI wrappers” and public data will likely struggle or disappear, while those holding proprietary data and enterprise trust will see their importance grow.
